Building Cultural Bridges Through Websites

In this unit, Design Grade 9 students acted as web developers. They were asked by an embassy to improve the nation's brand by creating a website to share its culture to everyone. Students have learnt the basics of HTML and CSS to create websites and they have researched to showcase what makes the country special. Designers recognize the cultural cues of the country and use them in the design of the webpages trying to create a cohesive product.

Social constructions influence the preferred forms and functions of communication, enabling their effective use in expressing cultural values.
